Bristol City Women have signed England youth international winger Simran Jhamat from Lewes.
Also a former Liverpool, Leicester City and Coventry United player, Jhamat became the first Punjabi girl to score at a competitive level for England, as an U-17 international.
The 20-year-old told bcfc.co.uk: “Bristol City is a great club with a rich history in the women’s game – I’m excited for the next challenge in my career.
“I’ve spoken at length with the manager about the plans for the club, the move to the new home stadium and how I can contribute on the pitch this season, and that’s what made my decision for me.
“Pre-season is going to be tough as we prepare for an incredibly competitive Championship season but it’s a challenge that I’m ready to embrace.”
