Tanya Oxtoby has stepped down from her role as Bristol City Women’s manager, having been on maternity leave since January 2021.

In her first season in charge, she guided the Robins to their highest WSL points tally (25) and table position (sixth) in recent years.

Bristol City CEO Richard Gould told bcfc.co.uk: “On behalf of everyone associated with Bristol City I would like to thank Tanya for her service to the club over the last three-and-a-half years. We all wish Tanya, her partner and baby boy Albie the best of luck for the future.”

Oxtoby said: “The last three years have been an amazing journey, full of highs and lows, with so many lessons learnt along the way. However, this feels like the right time to part ways with the club, as we both start new chapters.

“To every board member, staff member and player who came through the door during my time, thank you!

“You have all made me a better manager, coach, leader and more importantly a better person.”
