Bristol City have signed 34-year-old defender Harley Bennett from Watford on a one-year-deal, with the option of a further season.
Bennett previously spent four years at London City Lionesses, captaining the club in the final two years of her spell there.
Bennett told bcfc.co.uk: “I’m delighted to be here. The club have huge ambitions and want to go straight back up [to the WSL], so I’m excited to be part of it.”
“To get such good crowds like the club have been doing is amazing too, and I can’t wait to meet the fans.”
Head Coach Lauren Smith added: “Harley is a fantastic addition and adds important experience to our squad.”
Meanwhile, Bristol City have confirmed the departure of goalkeeper Shae Yanez.
