Bristol City beat Crystal Palace and Charlton Athletic drew with Aston Villa among pre-season friendlies on 1 September.

Bristol City were 3-1 winners over Crystal Palace, Lexi Lloyd Smith giving them a half-time lead after Emily Syme’s effort came back off the bar. Mari Ward and Jesse Woolley extended the advantage, before a late reply from Molly-May Sharpe.

Charlton took the lead early in each half but were twice pegged back by Aston Villa in a 2-2 draw. Brazil and Barton gave the Addicks the advantage, Adriana Leon and Paula Tomás got the equalisers, the second of which came at the death.
