Defender Harriet Scott joins Birmingham City, after the 24 year-old left Reading at the end of last season.

Described by the Blues as ‘an aggressive and powerful full-back’, Scott helped Kelly Chambers’ side maintain their top-flight status following promotion in 2015.

Scott earned her first senior Republic of Ireland call-up for the 2017 Cyprus Cup and in March was named the FAI Senior Women’s International Player of the Year.

“I’ve watched on as the club have performed extremely well over the past couple of the seasons and it’s one of the reasons I felt Birmingham was the best place for me,” Scott explained to BluesTV.

“From what I’ve seen Marc [Skinner] do with other players here, I’m confident there’s more to come from me and I can continue to develop and improve under him.

“This club has the ability to be among the best in the WSL and I’m really excited to be part of it.”
