Brighton have signed Sophie Baggaley from Manchester United and Nicky Evrard on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

Baggaley (26) has represented England from U-17s to U-23s and is closing in on her 100 the WSL appearance, while Evrard (28) has 63 caps for Belgium and in January became the first keeper to win Belgian Golden Boot for the best female player.

Head coach Melissa Phillips told brightonandhovealbion.com: “We’re really pleased to welcome Sophie to the club.

“She is looking forward to the challenge of helping us achieve our aims for this season and the future, and her experience of the WSL will only help the squad as we move forward.”
