Brighton & Hove Albion have signed 24-year-old attacking midfielder Veatriki Sarri on a two-year contract.

The Greece international joins Albion after ending an 18-month spell at Birmingham City.

Manager Hope Powell told brightonandhovealbion.com: “Veatriki adds good quality to our forward options.”

“In our three games against Birmingham last season I was really impressed with her, she stood out.

“She’s got a wealth of domestic experience and has played for her country. She’s looking forward to this challenge and we’re pleased to have her with us.”

Sarri said: “Brighton is a club with great ambitions, I am really excited to be a part of the club,”

“From the first time I spoke with Hope, I got a good understanding of where the club wants to go.

“Having played against Brighton, you know they’re a very organised team. It’s an honour to be here.”
