Everton manager Brian Sorensen has compared his side to the London City Lionesses ahead of their Women’s Super League clash on Friday night.

The Toffees head coach was speaking at his pre-match press conference on Thursday afternoon.

Both Everton and the newly promoted Lionesses recruited heavily during the summer transfer window.

Sorensen said that Everton are ‘in the same boat’ as Friday’s opponents.

It comes after London City boss Jocelyn Precheur said his side will get ‘better and better’ as the season progresses.
