Blackburn Rovers Women's new head coach, Simon Parker

Blackburn Rovers Women have announced the appointment of former Lewes boss Simon Parker as their new head coach.

The 37-year-old began his Head Coach journey in the FA Women’s National League with Southampton Women’s FC back in 2016. During his first season with the south coast side the team lifted the league title and league cup, as he enjoyed an 89%-win rate across his two-and-a-half-year tenure.

Parker joined Lewes in 2019 as assistant coach and was named head coach a year later, leading the Rooks to their highest-ever Championship finish.

Moving on to Portuguese side SC Uniāo Torreense in October 2021, Parker only lost one game in the Campeonato Nacional de Futebol Feminino South Serie, as they advanced through to the Championship group for the second half of the season, ensuring their place in the top division the following campaign.
