Blackburn Rovers Ladies have brought in half-a-dozen players ahead of their opening FA Women’s National League big kick off at Doncaster Rovers Belles this Sunday.
Following the departure of goalkeeper Danielle Hill, Rovers have brought in Alex Brooks from Fylde as their new number one, with midfield duo Lauren Davies and Eve Kennerley also joining from their Lancashire rivals.
Forward Bethany Donoghue returns to the club from Sheffield FC, experienced defender Charlotte Stuart joins from Bradford City where she was player-manager and Kate O’Gara became Rovers’ sixth signing when she completed a move from Lady Chaps Soccer in the United States.
Manager Gemma Donnelly has also managed to retain the majority of her treble-winning squad, including long-serving skipper Lynda Shepherd.
