Birmingham City Women’s Claudia Walker has been presented with a Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) award for her work off the pitch.
Birmingham City Community Trust presented her with the award during a surprise Zoom call, with the forward having visited a number of grassroots clubs and schools throughout the season to provide coaching and skills sessions.
Craig Gill, Assistant Community Director for the Trust, told bcfc.com: “We really appreciate all the work Claudia’s been doing this season with the Sister Clubs.
“I know that Claudia is proud to be part of the football club and really keen to give her time to the young people on the Sister Club programme.”
PFA’s Stephen Rayner added: “It’s fantastic what Claudia has been doing and the award is well deserved.
“From a PFA perspective, we’re really keen to promote the great work that’s going on out there with players.”
