Birmingham City Women have signed goalkeeper Sophie Whitehouse from Tottenham Hotspur.

The 24-year-old Enfield-born keeper joined Spurs in October 2020, having played in the United States at Columbia University and then Santa Clara Broncos in the NCAA competition.

Speaking to BCFC.com, Head Coach Carla Ward explained what Blues’ newest recruit will bring:

She said: “Sophie’s a really exciting talent and someone we’ve monitored since the summer. She will add valuable competition for Hannah [Hampton] and we’re delighted that she’s onboard.”
