Jade Pennock has joined Birmingham City Women on a one-year contract after leaving Sheffield United.

The 28-year-old played 67 times in total for the Blades scoring 29 goals, and previously played for Doncaster Rovers Belles for whom she scored the WSL 2 title-clinching goal in 2018.

Pennock told bcfc.com: “I’m glad to finally get it all sorted and excited to get going. For me, it is the challenge of playing at the next level. I’ve wanted to do it for a while and that’s what attracted me to the club.

“As a player, I want to help the team as much as I can whether that be with assists or goals. It will be a challenge but I think it is one I am ready for – I don’t shy away from hard work.”

Meanwhile, Abbi Grant has left the Blues after her contract expired.
