Jade Pennock has joined Birmingham City Women on a one-year contract after leaving Sheffield United.

The 28-year-old played 67 times in total for the Blades scoring 29 goals, and previously played for Doncaster Rovers Belles for whom she scored the WSL 2 title-clinching goal in 2018.

Pennock told “I’m glad to finally get it all sorted and excited to get going. For me, it is the challenge of playing at the next level. I’ve wanted to do it for a while and that’s what attracted me to the club.

“As a player, I want to help the team as much as I can whether that be with assists or goals. It will be a challenge but I think it is one I am ready for – I don’t shy away from hard work.”

Meanwhile, Abbi Grant has left the Blues after her contract expired.
