Danish international left-back Cecilie Sandvej joins Birmingham City Women on a two-year deal from French side FC Fleury 91.
The 31-year-old told bcfc.com: “From the past few years, the league has just got better and better, so I really wanted to go and try it out.
“I have experience from the Danish National team as well, so I have had games at a really high level and know how to play under pressure.”
Sandvej has 36 caps for her country and was in their squads for the last two Euros, with Denmark finalists in 2017.
She won three consecutive league and cup doubles with Brondby, helped Perth Glory finish runners-up in the W-League Grand Final, before continuing her career with Washington Spirit, SC Sand and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Meanwhile, the Blues have made some backroom appointments, with Goalkeeper Coach Daniel Matraszek coming in from Glasgow City, Tony Elliott exchanging that role for Assistant Head Coach.
