The 23 year-old versatile Welsh international, who can play in defence or midfield joins from Bristol City, having previously played for Arsenal, Coventry City and Finnish side Kokkola Futis 10 on loan.
City say that Ladd has been capped 25 times for Wales, scoring two goals and becomes manager Marc Skinner’s second signing of the summer.
After securing Ladd’s arrival Skinner commented to birminghamcityladiesfc.co.uk: “I am really excited to welcome Hayley to the Blues family.
“Hayley is an excellent, technical player that possesses the ability to interchange positions with ease and delivers high quality in every area.
“Hayley brings the balance of high level leadership skills and the attention to detail to apply this on the field. It is important that Birmingham players moving forwards can adapt and think in real time on and off the pitch.
“Blues have signed a very experienced, high quality player and person, who will help to improve the team.”
Ladd is eligible to play in Birmingham’s opening game of the season at Arsenal on Sunday.
