Birmingham City Ladies Capture Quinn

Birmingham City have signed 23 year-old Lucy Quinn, the out of contract winger having most recently played for Yeovil Town in the Spring Series.

City say that prior to this, Quinn played for Portsmouth, scoring 11 goals in 28 games in 2015/16.

She represented Great Britain in the World University Games this year, winning the Golden Boot.

In a busy summer for Quinn, she also helped England lift the 2017 Women’s Euro Beach Soccer Cup, displaying her skills as a goalie in the competition and winning the Best Goalkeeper award.

Blues Manager Marc Skinner commented on birminghamcityladiesfc.co.uk; “I am really excited to welcome Lucy to the Birmingham City Ladies family.

“When she played against us last season she was a constant danger and a player that we regarded as a real threat to our defence.

“She possesses raw physical speed and power that ensures she is a handful for every defender. Lucy has proven she can score goals in WSL 1 and her ability to play centrally or wide gives the team many more quality attacking options.”
