Bayside sealed the Scottish Women’s League Division 2 East title with a 7-0 defeat of Hutchison Vale Development on Sunday, 15th October.
Needing a point to secure promotion to Division 1, Claire Thomson and Kelly To both bagged a brace, Pam Livingstone, Nicola Halfpenny and Sharon Dudgeon one each in a comfortable victory.
The result means that they step out of reach of non-playing challengers Raith Rovers and are just two games away from an unbeaten league season, having only dropped two points to date.
They were also runners-up in the SWFL 2 Cup, beaten 3-2 after extra-time in the final by Blackburn United.
For Bayside, based in Fife’s Dalgetty Bay, promotion is a big step forward as they only played their first SWFL open-age fixture last March.
