Barclays FA Women’s Super League title rivals Chelsea and Arsenal kick off the weekend with a huge clash on Friday evening.
Chelsea trail leaders Arsenal by two points but have a game in hand and the Gunners have won just one of their last four league games.
Sunday also boasts a massive derby as Manchester City meet third-placed Manchester United whom they are five points behind. United today one a double in the WSL January awards, with Leah Galton Player of the Month and Marc Skinner the pick of the managers. With the Academy Stadium sold out for the game, City could break their attendance record there of 4,096.
Spurs are a point outside the Champions League places as they head to Birmingham City, who sit at the foot of the table and five points from safety.
A winning run has seen Reading climb to fifth and they return to a Brighton side whom they beat 3-2 in the FA Cup a fortnight ago.
Everton entertain Aston Villa who hold a two-point advantage from a game more, while Leicester City welcome West Ham with the Foxes looking to move further clear of danger and the Hammers hoping to close the gap on the top three.
Liverpool are top of the Championship by nine points as they prepare for the visit of Sunderland, Charlton lead the chasing pack and head to basement side Coventry.
Third-placed Durham are two points ahead of visitors Bristol City having played one match more, it’s fifth versus fourth as Crystal Palace clash with London City.
