Ballymoney United Ladies, Bangor, Belfast Celtic and Greenisland reach the Local Women’s Sport Super Cup Semi-Finals.

NIWFA Championship leaders Sion Swifts went into their home tie as favourites but Belfast Celtic ripped up the form book, producing one of their best performances of the season to move into the semi-finals with a 4-1 win. The Celts led through Niamh Adams, Zoe Green levelled before the hour mark but Kerry Taggart and Sara-Lou McLaughlin struck in a five-minute spell, while Adams added her second in injury time.

Development side Civil Service gave Championship visitors Bangor a real battle, with the game eventually being decided by a 93rd minute goal from the Seasiders’ Amanda Morton. Olivia Marshall twice put the underdogs in front, Emmi Wynne and Morton hitting back before the latter won it with the last kick.

Division 1 leaders Greenisland brushed aside Championship opposition in Ballyclare Comrades, Aoife Burgess bagging a brace and a goal each from Nicole Wheeldon, Saskia Love, Rachel Patterson and Aliyah Monthe.
