It was a double for Greenisland as their sides clinched the NIWFA Division One and Six titles, while Valley Rangers became champions in the Fifth.
A revenge victory for their recent Super Cup defeat saw Championship leaders Sion Swifts remain two points clear at the top (with a game in hand), although they were given a scare when Chloe Keenan gave Belfast Celtic the lead. Sion overcame the deficit with goals from Zoe Green on target twice in a 5-1 win.
Second-placed St.James Swifts made sure that they remained well in the hunt after brushing aside St.Oliver Plunkett 9-1, braces bagged by Eimhear Oprey, Roise Thompson and Chloe Doak.
Although Bangor fell further back in the race, they came back from two down at Ballymena to draw 2-2. Megan Henry and Tash Bamford scored for the hosts, Amanda Morton and Janine Jess replying.
Ballyclare Comrades hit six against Comber Rec with Debs McCarthy netting an impressive hat-trick, while Camlough Rovers were awarded three points after Foyle Belles had to withdraw from their fixture.
After securing the Division One title last week, Greenisland suffered their first defeat of the season despite leading 2-0 as Armagh City hit back with three second-half goals. Ballymoney United also had to battle back from behind to beat Ambassadors 4-2 and secure second place, elsewhere there were wins for Ballynahinch Ladies and Ballyclare Comrades Reserves.
The Division Two title will be decided in the final week after Strabane Athletic and Craigavon City both won their respective games. Strabane lead the standings by two points with one game to play but this is away to third-placed Lisburn Ladies.
Division Three champions Lisbellaw United defeated second-placed Maiden City and Carrick Rangers Falcons won comfortably at Dromara Village, keeping City two points ahead of the Falcons before their head-to-head clash. Mid Ulster won by a single goal against Portadown and Belfast Ravens drew 2-2 with Ballymoney Reserves.
There was a major shock in Division Four, as previously unbeaten Antrim Town lost to Belfast Swifts thanks to a late goal from Brooke Boyd. This defeat, coupled with Raceview’s win at Moneyslane means that when the top two meet in a title decider which Antrim Town must win to be champions, otherwise Raceview take the silverware. Elsewhere, there were wins for Draperstown Celtic and Lisburn Rangers Athletic.
Valley Rangers are Division Five champions after winning at second-placed Ards Rangers, who are now overtaken by Oxford Sunnyside. The rivals for the runners-up spot clash this week to decider the matter. St Mary’s and Comber Rec Reserves were the other winners this week.
Greenisland Seconds followed their first team in topping their table, defeating Wellington Rec to secure the Division Six title, Aliyah Monthe notching a hat-trick in the 6-0 result. There were also victories for Bloomfield, 22nd Ladies II and Carrick Rangers Falcons II, with the latter now guaranteed second place.
