Arsenal Women have signed 22-year-old Norwegian midfielder Frida Maanum from Swedish side Linkopings FC.
Maanum won the Swedish League (Damallsvenskan) title with Linkopings FC when she was aged just 18, having already made her national team debut at 17 years old against France.
Now with over 30 caps for Norway, Maanum scored the only goal in a win against Wales which sealed a place at Euro2022.
“It’s an honour to sign for a club like Arsenal,” Frida told Arsenal.com. “The history speaks for itself and I just can’t wait to put on that shirt for the first time.”
Arsenal Women head coach, Jonas Eidevall said: “We are very happy to bring Frida into our squad. She is already an experienced player and her technical ability paired with her leadership qualities will align to the style of football that we want to play here. We are looking forward to working with her.”
