Arsenal Women will host all 11 Women’s Super League (WSL) matches at the Emirates Stadium next season.

The club confirmed the news in a post on social media platform X on Tuesday morning.

It will be the first time that the Gunners have hosted all of their home matches during a WSL season at the same stadium where the men’s team play.

Arsenal Women tweeted: “Found a place where we belong. For the very first time, our European Champions will play all @BarclaysWSL home matches at Emirates Stadium.”

The Gunners join Aston Villa and Leicester City, who host all of their home games at Villa Park and the King Power Stadium respectively.

Arsenal managing director Richard Garlick said: “Today’s announcement is another bold step forward.  It’s an opportunity to create a special home for our team and allow more opportunities for our community, and a new generation of supporters to watch the European champions.

“It’s the start of another chapter in the story of our women’s team just two weeks on from us lifting the Champions League trophy with our community here in Islington. We keep moving forward together, and we’ll continue to fuel and inspire each other.”

Arsenal will continue to play domestic cup games and league phase games in the Women’s Champions Leagues at Meadow Park, Borehamwood.

Arsenal Women WSL average attendance set to improve

The decision for Arsenal Women to play all of their home games at the Emirates Stadium next season comes after they recorded the highest average attendance at WSL games during the 2024-25 campaign.

Figures from the women’s football website Soccerdonna show that they drew an average attendance of 28,808 in the WSL this past season.

The figure for the European champions was slightly down from the 29,999 average from 2023-24.

However, there is a strong chance they will exceed 30,000 next season, given that they will no longer play WSL games at Meadow Park.

Arsenal’s average attendance was more than three times higher than that of the next-best team Chelsea, during 2024-25.

The rest of the WSL clubs all averaged under 10,000 fans per game in 2024-25. However, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham all played just three of their matches at the larger stadiums used by their men’s teams.

Arsenal’s highest attendance of 2024-25 came in their 5-0 victory over Tottenham in February, which drew in 56,784 spectators.

This fell just short of the all-time WSL record at 60,160 for Arsenal vs Manchester United in February 2024.
