Manchester City boss Andree Jeglertz made history this week with his third consecutive manager of the month award of the season.
No manager in the WSL has ever won the award three times in a row.
Andree Jeglertz: History maker
Manchester City have been phenomenal this season.
Andree Jeglertz made the move to Manchester in summer and he certainly hasn’t messed around in his first six months in England.
The former Denmark manager has revolutionised his team and they have capitalised on an underwhelming start to the season from Chelsea.
City have won 10 of their 11 games so far this year and they haven’t dropped points since losing to Chelsea on the opening day of the season.
As a result of City’s 10 wins in a row, it is no surprise that Jeglertz has dominated the manager awards this season.

The Swedish boss has now won manager of the month in October, November and December.
City rounded off 2025 with two dominant wins, beating Leicester and Aston Villa by a combined score of nine goals to one.
Jeglertz beat Jocelyn Precheur to the December award. The London City Lionesses boss has since been sacked in a surprising move by the newly promoted club.
No manager has ever won four awards in one season and Jeglertz is now well on his way to making history in his debut campaign.
Will Man City win WSL in Jeglertz’ debut season?
City were nearly perfect to start the 2025/26 WSL season, but the year is far from over yet.
The league leaders hold a six point advantage over Chelsea but they won’t feel safe until the league is in their hands.
City haven’t won the WSL since 2016 and ending a ten year winless run would be huge for the club. After two years away from the Champions League, City will be keen to return to Europe next year with a top two finish.
Sonia Bompastor is the only manager to have ever won the WSL in her debut campaign, so Jeglertz is looking to join an elite list this year.
Manchester City continue their title charge this weekend as the winter break concludes. Jeglertz’ side face Everton on Sunday before playing back to back cup games in the following week.
