Alsu Abdullina and Reanna Blades leave Chelsea Women

Russian international Alsu Abdullina and England U-19’s Reanna Blades have both left Chelsea at the end of their contracts.

Abdullina joined Chelsea from Lokomotiv Moscow for the second half of the 2021/22 campaign and made a total of 20 appearances for the Blues.

The left-back spent last season on loan at Paris FC, helping them to finish third in the French top flight.

Blades had been with Chelsea as a youngster and went on to sign her first professional contract with them in 2022, featuring in the FA Women’s Academy Cup final victory at the end of the season.

She made her competitive first team debut during our 3-1 victory over Reading in the FA Cup quarter-final in March 2023, coming off the bench as a second-half substitute.

The winger went out on a season-long loan to Championship side Lewes in 2023-24.
