Aitana Bonmati and Emma Hayes among Women’s Ballon d’Or winners

Aitana Bonmati won the Women’s Ballon d’Or for the second successive year, Emma Hayes winning the coaches’ honour.

Bonmati won the quadruple with Barcelona last season, as well as helping Spain to the inaugural Women’s Nations League title.

Emma Hayes was announced as Women’s Coach of the Year, having led Chelsea to a fifth straight WSL crown, before departing to guide the USA  to victory at the Olympics.

Barcelona won women’s club of the year award and Spain’s Jennifer Hermoso the Socrates Award, for her humanitarian work.

  10. Alexia Putellas (Spain / Barcelona)

Lauren James was the closest to an England representative in the top ten, coming in at 13th, followed by Lucy Bronze in 20th and Lauren Hemp who was 28th.
