A restricted bank-holiday weekend programme in the Regional competitions featured a 5-4 North East League Cup away win for Ossett United.
EASTERN – Seven-goal Bedford go top
Premier – Real Bedford sank hosts AFC Dunstable 7-0 in midweek, Francesca Partridge twice on target as the visitors went top with two winds from two games.
LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Three-figure crowds at Ebbsfleet, Hastings and Millwall.
Premier – Dartford defeated Fulham 2-1 to lead the table with back-to-back wins. A crowd of 150 saw Ebbsfleet United put eight goals past Sutton United, Ashford United’s Rebecca Wyatt hit a hat-trick during their 4-1 victory at Crawley AFC. Millwall Lionesses saw off Dorking Wanderers 3-1 and Aylesford came away from Enfield Town with a 4-2 success.

1 North – Hackney continued their winning start by beating Camden & Islington United 4-0, Ashmount Leigh edged Brentford 3-2 with Danielle Boyd’s decider. Denham United defeated Actonians Reserves 4-1 and Sport London E Benfica came out on top 2-1 over Clapton.
1 South – Newhaven beat Bexhill United 4-0 to stay on maximum points after two games, Welling United and Herne Bay shared six goals. Hastings United just got the better of Steyning Town, Brooke Nicholson-Rogan with the winner at 3-2 in front of 150 fans. Eastbourne United won by the same score at Montpelier Villa and Charlotte Lee got all Bromley’s goals in a 3-1 win at Dartford Reserves.

NORTH EAST – Ossett edge nine-goal thriller
League Cup 2nd Round – Ossett United were 5-4 winners at Handsworth where Debbie Hastings grabbed a hat-trick, Spennymoor Town’s Autumn Colledge got all three goals of the tie at South Shields. York City Development overcame Harrogate Town 4-1 with three goals in an eight-minute spell late on, Alnwick Town put out Ponteland United by the odd goal in five. Redcar Town won 4-0 at Hartlepool Pools Youth, Hull United beat Millmoor 4-1, Sunderland West End 3-0 winners over Wallsend BC Reserves, while York Railway Institute scored ten against Ripon City with three from Lily Ashworth.

NORTH WEST – Fleetwood win local derby
Premier – Fleetwood Town Wrens won their local derby with Blackpool 3-0 on Thursday, while Tranmere Rovers edged Crewe Alexandra 2-1 with an Isobel Arrowsmith winner. Rovers lead the table with seven points from three games, following a 1-1 draw at Curzon Ashton on Sunday. Fixtures for Wednesday 30 August are: Blackburn Community SCS v Blackpool (Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, 6.30pm), Salford City Lionesses v Cheadle Town Stingers (Partington Sports Village 4G pitch, 6.30pm), Darwen v Fleetwood Town Wrens (WEC Anchor Ground, 7.30pm), West Didsbury & Chorlton v Bury (Step Places Stadium, 7.30pm).

1 North – Mancunian Unity host Bolton Wanderers at Cardinal Langley High School at 7.30pm on Tuesday, while Wednesday’s 6.30pm kick-offs are; Haslingden v Radcliffe (Valley Leadership Academy), Penwortham Town v Morecambe (Vernons Sports Club) and Preston North End v Fleetwood Town Wrens Reserves (UCLAN Sports Arena), with Workington Reds welcoming Carlisle United to Derwent Park for a 7.15pm start.
1 South – FC St Helens were 3-1 winners at Hindley on Thursday, making it six points from their two outings. A busy Wednesday evening too for this division, as at 6.30pm Altrincham play Wythenshawe at Mersey Valley Sports Club, Ellesmere Port Town entertain Northwich Vixens at Cheshire County Sports Club, Litherland REMYCA take on Chester at Chesterfield High School and at Poulton Victoria FC Warrington Wolves are the visitors.
