Abbey Joice sent Liz Ejupi away to get a goal back for the Black Cats in the second half.

Southampton’s defeat of Crystal Palace put them within a point of the second placed side but from two games more. Sophia Pharoah was played in to give the Saints the lead on half time, but the win was not sealed until substitute Ella Pusey’s stoppage-time goal.
