Scotland Women score six away to Faroe Islands

Scotland completed their qualifying group games for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup by hitting the Faroe Islands for six.

Nicola Docherty opened the scoring from the corner if the box for Scotland, who were coasting after three goals in the last few minutes of the first half.

Caroline Weir found the bottom corner from the edge of the area, Erin Cuthbert hit the top corner from outside the box and Martha Thomas netted in added time from Claire Emslie’s cross.

After the break Rachel Corsie headed in a cross, before Jen Beattie rounded off the scoring.

Scotland now await the draw for the play-offs,at 12.30 UK time on Friday.
