Ballymena United continue to set the pace in the NIWFA Championship but had to come from behind to beat Ballymacash Rangers 6-2.
Chloe Glover opened the scoring, a Beth Hunter double and goals from Chelsea Millar, Zoe McDowell, Megan Henry and a Michelle McDonald penalty in reply settling the outcome.
Larne kept themselves well in the hunt by overcoming Killen Rangers 8-0, Hollie Johnston and Amanda Morton at the double to see their side sitting four points behind the leaders with a game in hand.
Foyle Belles dropped important points as they were held 1-1 by St James Swifts, the goals in this one coming from Abby Alexander for Foyle and Amber Dempster for the Swifts.
Coleraine’s disappointing season continued as were beaten 0-3 at home by Comber Rec, goals from Lucy Carville, Regan Montgomery and Shannon McCullough ensuring the points returned to north down.
DIVISION ONE
Lisburn Rangers once again hit double figures as they dismantled Bangor, Ballyclare Comrades also scoring plenty of goals in their win over Belfast Celtic but still second to Rangers in the standings. It was a poor week all round in the league however for Bangor, as they also lost to Crewe United.
DIVISION TWO
Ballynahinch won at Ballymena United Reserves, with Kilmore Rec easing past Banbridge Town. That result means Kilmore now lead the table by three points from Camlough, with Banbridge Town now bottom.
DIVISION THREE
There were comfortable wins for Antrim Rovers and Rosario, with Ballymoney also picking up three points due to their opposition Banbridge Rangers having to forfeit. Ambassadors and Greenisland battled out a 1-1 draw, the latter leading the table by just one point from Ballymoney, who have two games in hand.
DIVISION FOUR
The 22nd Ladies and Lisburn Swifts played out a highly entertaining game, with the latter just easing home eventually 4-3. Strabane also picked up three points with a good win over Moneyslane. It’s Craigavon City who lead the way but that win for the Swifts sees them move to within three points of the summit.
DIVISION FIVE EAST
Lisburn Distillery remain top following a comfortable home win over Comber Rec Reserves, thanks mainly to a four-goal haul from Rebecca Maxwell which was ably assisted by hat-tricks from Cora Maxwell and Aoibhinn Murray. In the division’s other game this week, Crewe United Reserves defeated First Bangor.
DIVISION FIVE WEST
There were big wins for Draperstown Celtic and Maiden City, however it’s Lisbellaw United who continue to lead the way in the table.
