Vitality Women’s FA Cup 2nd Round Qualifying ties include Cornwall League Helston Athletic hosting Southampton FC.
Helston, playing in the FA Cup for the first time this season, have one of the most difficult draws possible at this stage, which sees the FA Women’s National League Division 1 sides enter.
Up against FA WNL Division 1 South West leaders Southampton FC Women, they do at least enjoy home advantage over the side from two tiers above, following their 5-3 victory away to another more senior opponent in Marine Academy Plymouth.
With the attendance limited to 300 under Covid-19 guidelines, Helston sold nearly 200 tickets on the first day they became available.
Hampshire League outfit AFC Stoneham also progressed impressively to get a home tie against National League opposition, winning on penalties at Middlezoy Rovers to next take on Buckland Athletic.
