Cardiff City Ladies welcome back defender Loren Dykes who played for the club as a youngster before joining Bristol City.
As well as her many years with the Robins, Dykes has accumulated over 100 caps for Wales and been awarded the MBE for service to women’s football.
Dykes told the club’s website: “I’m delighted to be signing for Cardiff City Ladies. A club that has played a huge role in my development as a player and one I am excited to be returning too. I have many fond memories here and know what this great club is about. I can’t wait to get started with this group of players and staff and help us achieve things this season.”
New Cardiff City LFC manager James Fishlock said: “I’m delighted to be able to welcome Loren to the club. Loren is a Welsh Legend and she will bring a level of experience and quality to the club that cannot be measured. The young players will learn a huge amount from just watching how she carries herself around the club & how she prepares for each training session and match day. Loren’s signing is a real statement of intent from the club and we hope to have news of more new signings in the coming weeks.”
