Watford’s Clinton Lancaster and Actonians’ Danny Harrigan were the winners of the FA Women’s National League Manager of the Month awards for December 2019.
Lancaster won the Northern/Southern Premier Division category after Watford ended the year top of their table, winning away in league and cup during December.
The Hornets reached the Women’s FA Cup 3rd Round with a 3-0 away win at Keynsham Town, then edged a nine-goal thriller at Home park against title-chasing Plymouth Argyle.
Danny Harrigan’s Actonians sit seventh in the South East Division 1 but are just three points behind the third-placed team and won all three games in the month, two of them notable victories.
They kicked off December by dumping higher division Crawley Wasps out of the FA Cup with the help of an Alessandra Barreca brace.
A Justine Buckmire double saw them take the points against Cambridge City and they went into the festive break with a fine win over second-in-the-table AFC Wimbledon, Jessica Byrne netting the only goal.
