Southampton Women’s FC will be playing their home games at Romsey Town FC’s Bypass Stadium for the 2019-20 season.
After a series of negotiations, the two clubs confirmed the partnership for the Wessex League club to host the FAWNL Division One side for the forthcoming campaign.
Manager Aaron Smith told the club’s website: “All off-season we have all been working hard behind the scenes to secure a pitch for this coming season.
“We have looked at a few grounds, but Romsey really stood out to us as the family friendly club that we feel would generate the right atmosphere for us on match days.
“The town of Romsey doesn’t have a senior women’s team playing there and we are so pleased to be able to bring National League women’s football to the town.
Phil Rowland, Romsey Town FC Vice Chairman said: “This has been a long held ambition for us to have a successful women’s team based in Romsey and we’re delighted that through this partnership we have started a journey which we all hope will be a very successful one both short and long term”
Southampton Women’s first match at Romsey will be the pre-season friendly against Moneyfields on Wednesday 7 August, kick off 7:45pm.
