Cove Rangers were the first side to take points off Scottish WFL Division 1 North in a remarkable 4-4 draw, while Celtc Academy beat Rangers Development 2-0 in 1 South.
SWFL 1 North – Dons eight-game winning start ended at Cove
Mid-table Cove forced a stoppage-time own-goal to hold leaders Aberdeen, who had Francesca Ogilvie stretchered off in the first half. With the Dons leading 4-2, Cove’s Lynne Robertson was sent off and Chloe Gover put the resulting penalty over the bar.
Dunfermline Athletic and Inverness Caledonian Thistle closing the gap to three points with big wins; 11-0 over Deveronvale and 6-1 against Stonehaven respectively.
Basement side Raith Rovers got off the mark in style when edging fourth-placed Buchan 4-3. Montrose are a point behind Kelty Hearts having beaten them 5-0 away, while East Fife’s 3-1 result at Westdyke put them fifth.
SWFL 1 South – City rampant
Glasgow City Development made it ten wins in a row when putting 18 goals past lowly Ayr United. Second-placed Celtic Academy beat Rangers Development 2-0, Hibernian U-23s in third hit their counterparts from Kilmarnock.
Queens Park climbed to fourth after a 6-1 defeat of Hamilton Academical U-23s, Blackburn United beat Boroughmuir Thistle by the odd goal in five and Spartans Development took the points 2-1 at Renfrew.
SWFL 2 – Seven up for Caley
Edinburgh Caledonia mafe it seven wins on the spin with as many unanswered goals at Blackburn United in Division 2 South East/Central. Morton stayed two points clear in the West/ South West with all four goals at Clark Drive. Glasgow Girls U-23s also kept two points above the nearest challengers in West/Central when edging Pollok United 2-1. Dryburgh Athletic still have a one-point advantage over Dundee City in North/East after running in 14 goals at Granite City.
Highlands & Islands League – Clachnacuddin go second
Clachnacuddin climbed above Inverness Caledonian Thistle Development into second, following a 4-2 victory over them.
Meanwhile, the League Cup semi-final draw was made, landing Buckie Ladies a tie with Clachnacuddin and Inverness up against Lewis & Harris, with both ties onn 1st June.
