#UWCL Q/Fs: Record crowd see holders take 2-1 lead

UEFA Women’s Champions League Quarter-Final 1st Leg ties on Wednesday brought a narrow home win for Lyon, away draw for Bayern, while Barcelona scored three times without reply.

Lyon struck twice in the opening 18 minutes against Wolfsburg, Eugenie le Sommer’s opener followed up a Wendie Renard header. But Nilla Fisher headed home an away goal on 64 minutes in front of a quarter-final record crowd of 17,840.

Bayern Munich had to settle for a 1-1 draw in Prague, where substitute Fridolino Rolfo made a quick impact but her goal was cancelled out from distance by Kateřina Svitková, watched by a crowd of getting on for 7,000.

Toni Duggan bagged a brace in the first 24 minutes in Barcelona’s 3-0 victory over Lillestrom, Mariona Caldentey adding a penalty before half time.
