Bolton Wanderers caused a shock by knocking Stoke City out of the FAWNL Cup on penalties and Loughborough Foxes also made the last four with victory over AFC Wimbledon.

Blackburn’s 5-0 win over Middlesbrough made it fifteen in a row for Rovers and gave them a thirteen-point lead in the Northern Premier. Alex Taylor scored three goals, Jess Holbrook and Saffron Jordan one apiece, with the latter then taking the gloves from injured keeper Danielle Hill.
Sunderland hit Hull 6-2 to go second but had twice trailed to goals by Hope Knight and Harley Skinner. Keira Ramshaw hit a hat-trick, while Maria Farrugia and Katie Barker were also on target for the Black Cats.
Fylde leapfrogged Derby into fourth with a 1-0 away win over the Rams, Georgia Stevens scoring just 4 minutes in.
Sheffield FC put five past Bradford to get out of the bottom two on goal-difference, as Doncaster dropped back in after a 1-1 tie with Guiseley. A dramatic end saw Alana Fuller head home for the Vixens 6 minutes from time but Olivia Cook replied with her first senior goal and then Belles’ keeper Emily Batty saved an injury-time penalty.
Cardiff City Ladies jumped three places to third in the Southern Premier with both goals of the game at Gillingham. Emma Jones was on target just before the hour mark and Kylie Nolan sealed the win deep in stoppage-time.
Wolves are back up to second in Midlands Division 1 by thrashing Burton 8-0, Jade Cross netting half their goals. Sporting Khalsa went seventh with a 6-2 result over Solihull, achieved with four second-half goals after Moors had twice equalised.
Barnsley’s 2-1 victory over Liverpool Feds shot them up three places to third in Northern Division 1, substitute Shannon Durkin with an 83rd-minute winner. Morecambe won for only the third time this season, with a similar score against Newcastle with two goals in the last 25 minutes.
It was seven goals and a twelfth South East Division 1 win in a row for Crawley Wasps as they moved seven points clear. Naomi Cole and Kay Webber got a couple each against Stevenage,
Division 1 Bolton reached the League Cup semi-finals with a penalties victory over Northern Premier Stoke. Ashleigh Hayes’ goal had the Potters ahead for most of the game but they missed a chance for a second when Tash Tezgel hit the bar from the spot and Bolton levelled in added time.
Loughborough Foxes went through 3-0 against Wimbledon, Charlotte Cooper breaking the deadlock before half time, Rebecca McGrother scoring early and late in the second period.
