Drew Spence opened the scoring for Chelsea from a Karen Carney cut-back, then before the break Spence played in Fran Kirby to double the lead.
Ramona Bachmann won a second-half penalty which was converted by Kirby, who next turned provider for Erin Cuthbert to net the fourth.
Kirby completed her hat-trick and Bachmann got on the scoresheet before Bright was dismissed for illegally denying a goalscoring opportunity, as Emma Hayes’ side chalked up a 6-0 win on the night and 7-0 overall.
LSK leave it late
Lillestrom won 2-0 away to Brøndby with both goals in the last 20 minutes from Anja Sønstevold and Synne Skinnes Hansen, to go through 3-1 on aggregate.
PSG battled to a 3-2 win on the night at home to Linköping, grateful for already being two up from a fortnight ago. Marie-Antoinette Katoto eased any fears of a comeback by the Swedish side with a goal in either half.
Holders Lyon netted nine against Ajax to breeze into the quarter-finals, Delphine Cascarino and Wendie Renard each bagging a five-minute brace in the first quarter of the game.
Bayern Munich added three goals to their 2-0 1st leg lead over FC Zürich, Sara Däbritz setting them on their way with the opener close to half time.
Wolfsburg put six past hosts Atlético Madrid for a double-figure aggregate score, all but one of the goals coming after the break and including a Pernille Harder brace.
