Chelsea Women needing big favour from Arsenal at Manchester City

Barclays Womens Super League - Arsenal v Manchester City - Meadow Park

Manchester City could move within touching distance of the Barclays Women’s Super League title but Arsenal stand in their way and Chelsea will hope they do so successfully.

City host the Gunners before Chelsea entertain relegated Bristol City and should Gareth Taylor’s side take all three points, they would be nine ahead of the Blues with three to play for Emma Hayes’ team.

Arsenal still have the runners-up spot to play for but victory for Manchester City on Sunday would pile pressure on Chelsea, whose title bid would then be over with any points dropped.

Fifth plays fourth with Liverpool just goal-difference short of Manchester United, West Ham welcome tenth-placed Leicester City whom they trail by three points.

Spurs would seal sixth spot if they avoid defeat at Everton, Brighton are two points behind visitors Aston Villa in Saturday’s other match.
