Wales have jumped five places to 29th in the FIFA/CocaCola Women’s World Rankings, Scotland are up one to 21st but England dropped two to fourth, while the USA remain top.
Recent World Cup performances have helped the Welsh and Scottish national teams advance, while Germany took second place from England, France rose two to third, Canada are fifth after slipping one position.
Japan did not take too long to move back into the top ten and are as high as sixth, gaining five places after lifting the AFC Women’s Asian Cup. Brazil lifted the Copa América Femenina and consequently went from eighth to seventh.
Republic of Ireland fell two to 31st and Northern Ireland stayed 56th.
