A win for Milford & Witley would have put them level on points with the leaders but with a goal-difference of eight to make up, it was very unlikely they would finish champions.
Amy Dix scored for Cowfold but Rebecca Singleton goal for the visitors in a 1-1 draw meant that the title was handed to Worthing.
They could make it a double in the League Cup Final on 23rd April but their opponents at Maidstone United FC are Premier Division champions Parkwood Rangers.
