The WSL was back in action Saturday evening and Liverpool went third after thrashing Yeovil, Bristol City beat Everton to leapfrog them into seventh and Sunderland’s victory over Birmingham sent them fifth.

Four-goal England features for Liverpool
Yeovil Town remain without a point following a 8-0 loss away to Liverpool, with Beth England claiming half the tally.
The Glovers contributed the first goal themselves though, as Caroline Weir’s cross was turned into her own net by Annie Heatherson.
England doubled the lead on 30 minutes with a tap in after Jess Clarke’s strike was deflected into her path, and it was 3-0 9 minutes later as England slotted in Sophie Ingle’s cross.
Reds’ keeper Siobhan Chamberlain smothered a fierce Gemma Evans effort just before the break and 6 minutes into the second half, Weir struck Liverpool’s third from outside the box.
England completed her hat-trick with a chip over Megan Walsh, Clarke scored the sixth from close-range and on the hour mark England turned in her fourth via a low ball from Alex Greenwood.
Amy Turner came on to make her Liverpool debut after over a year out injured, after which Laura Coombs rounded off the scoring.
Late goals seal Sunderland win
The Black Cats bagged two goals in the dying minutes in a 3-0 defeat of Birmingham City
Sunderland goalkeeper Rachel Laws turned away an early Charlie Wellings effort and toward the end of a half of few chances, Kerys Harrop saw her cross trickle across the face of the home goal.
Dominique Bruinenberg broke the deadlock 10 minutes after the restart, firing home from the edge of the area after Birmingham only half cleared the ball.
Laws kept her side ahead when denying Rachel Williams in a one-on-one, then diving at the feet of Wellings to grab the rebound.
With two minutes remaining, Hayley Sharp followed up Ellie Stewart’s header to score and deep into added time, Abbey Joice netted from a tight angle.
Hemp brace brings Vixens victory
Lauren Hemp’s two goals gave Bristol City the points but not until after a tense last 15 minutes, as Everton fought their way back into the game.
The Vixens took a 10th-minute lead as Yana Daniels squared for Hemp to fire high into the net.
A last ditch interception from Danique Kerkdijk blocked out Chloe Kelly’s attempt and Courtney Sweetman-Kirk’s follow up hits the post.
A Daniels free-kick was tipped over by Lizzie Durack shortly before the break and the visiting keeper later denied Hemp just after the hour mark, when she had got through on goal.
But on 65 minutes, City were awarded a penalty for a foul on Daniels and Hemp converted when sending Durack the wrong way.
Everton halved the deficit with 16 minutes to go, Georgia Brougham bundling in a corner and 4 minutes later Sweetman-Kirk thought she had equalised but it was disallowed.
Brougham almost got her second a minute from time but her header from a corner was just over the bar.
