Alessia Russo got the only goal of the game, as England U-20s edged Brazil 1-0 at the 2017 Women’s Nike International Friendlies in Florida on Saturday 9th December.

Kerolin brought a good save from Sandy McIver halfway through the first period and Victoria fired just over the England crossbar shortly afterwards.

But Mo Marley’s side struck 5 minutes after the restart, as Charlie Wellings picked out Russo, who took a touch before firing home.

England finish up against Finland on Monday (ko 10pm UK time), while Brazil play USA three hours later and both games are streamed live on www.youtube.com/ussoccerdotcom.

In the day’s second match, USA thrashed Finland 10-1, with Civana Kuhlman netting four times.

Taryn Torres, Savannah DeMelo, Kuhlmann and Samantha Coffey scored before Katriina Kuoksa pulled a goal back midway through the first half.

DeMelo’s second was followed by three more from Kuhlmann for an 8-1 interval lead.

Juulia Grönlund conceded an own-goal in the second half and Viviana Villacorta completed the scoring in the 67th minute.
