Cardiff Met lead the Orchard Welsh Women’s Premier League on goal-difference from four other sides, following results on Sunday 1st October.

Met’s margin of victory sends them top
Cardiff Met’s five-goal margin of victory over Abergavenny sent them top of the league.
Lauren Townsend fired in a free-kick from a tight angle for the opener and although a goal-line clearance was required from Rebecca Mathias, it was 2-0 on 19minutes as Robyn Pinder’s long-range shot went in off the post.
Kitty Wells got the third after 21 minutes and doubled her personal tally for the day before the break.
The score remained 4-0 until Monique Fischer struck in the last minute.
Swans sink Bluebirds
Reigning champions Swansea City are second after defeating morning leaders Cardiff City FC 3-0, with all the goals coming in a decisive first-half performance.
Stacey John-Davis headed home from Katy Hosford’s free-kick in the 9th minute, with the latter then fouled 10 minutes afterwards, Jodie Passmore converting the set-piece
Swansea’s Sarah Adams rattled the woodwork before John-Davis netted her second of the match in the 37th minute.
First-half showing sends Cyncoed fourth
All the goals also came before the interval, as Cyncoed’s 3-1 win at Rhyl put them into fourth spot.
Gwen Davies scored from outside the box for the visitors, Rhyl equalising through Emily Jones.
Jess Williams made it 2-1 from a corner and Niamh Tinman’s effort then concluded the scoring.
Port Talbot leave it late
Port Talbot Town are the last of the five teams on nine points, they were 2-1 winners over newcomers Caldicot Town.
Rachael Ball broke the deadlock for the home side 3 minutes before half-time but Caldicot were back on level terms 3 minutes after the restart.
The winning goal arrived 4 minutes from time, Terri Beddows scoring after good work from Vickie Stratton, denying the visitors their first ever point in the WPWL.
Llandudno off the mark
Llandudno got off the mark against the other new entrants, Caernarfon Town, against whom they netted five times, four of those in the second half.
