Leicester City vs Everton preview
Leicester and Everton will see this weekend’s game as a chance to build momentum after difficult starts to the campaign.
With neither team finding consistency so far, the clash at the King Power Stadium could be pivotal in turning their seasons around.
Both sides have one win and three defeats to their names over the opening four weeks of the season.
Leicester remain without a permanent head coach, after sacking Amandine Miquel just before the start of the campaign.
The Foxes’ interim head coach Rick Passmoor will looking for stability after a mixed run of events.
Everton meanwhile continue to search for rhythm under Brian Sorensen, who has spoken openly about the challenge of blending a squad with many new faces.
Before their loss to Brighton last week, he said his side are ‘still finding their feet’.
Form and past head-to-head meetings
Leicester have struggled for consistency in recent weeks. Defeats against Chelsea and Manchester United highlighted the gulf to the top sides while their performances against teams closer to them in the table have been more competitive. Without a permanent manager in place, the Foxes are still finding their feet.
Everton are also in transition. Sorensen’s side have yet to truly click as a unit with the manager stressing the need for patience as new players settle into his system. After a strong opening-day win at Anfield over Liverpool, they have since struggled, with defeats to Tottenham, London City Lionesses and most recently Manchester City.
Sorensen admitted after that loss that his team are “still finding our feet” and called for more consistency, pointing to lapses in concentration that have cost them in key moments.
This game therefore comes at an important time for both clubs. Leicester want to avoid being pulled towards the bottom of the table while Everton need a result to boost confidence and steady their campaign.

Leicester City vs Everton team news
Leicester’s squad remains stretched and the absence of a permanent head coach has not helped their rhythm.
Rotation has been necessary but it has also unsettled their balance. Updates on injuries are limited, though the club has hinted that a few players may be nearing returns.
Everton are still trying to manage their squad carefully after summer additions, but they have also been hit by injuries. Kelly Gago is out with a concussion, Rion Ishikawa has a knee problem, Courtney Brosnan is sidelined with an MCL issue and Megan Finnigan is still in rehabilitation.
In response, Brian Sørensen has recalled teenage defender Issy Hobson from her loan at Nottingham Forest.
Hobson, who became the youngest-ever WSL goalscorer last season, could be handed opportunities in the coming weeks as Everton look to cover for their absentees. Sørensen has said that avoiding further setbacks and building consistency will be key if his side are to turn performances into results.
