Women’s Super League (WSL) sides are reportedly monitoring Switzerland international Alayah Pilgrim.
The 22-year-old forward featured in all four games for hosts Switzerland at Euro 2025, scoring in their 2-0 victory over Iceland.
Pilgrim is contracted with Italian side Roma until the end of the 2026-27 season.
However, she is reportedly receiving interest from clubs in the Women’s Super League and the National Women’s Soccer League in the United States.

Who is Alayah Pilgrim?
Alayah Pilgrim is a 22-year-old forward who usually plays her football on the left wing.
The youngster was not allowed to play football at a young age, and secretly played with her local club FC Muri until a coach was able to convince her family.
Pilgrim played with the boys team at youth level as the club did not have a women’s squad.
She started her senior career with Aarau, before later having spells with Basel and Zurich in Switzerland.
Pilgrim helped Zurich win the 2022-23 Swiss Super League, before joining Roma in January 2024.
During the 2024-25 season, Pilgrim scored three goals and provided two assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.
Alayah Pilgrim opted to play her international football for Switzerland over Morocco and has scored four goals in 10 appearances for her country.
Which WSL club could sign Alayah Pilgrim?
In reaction to the news that WSL clubs are interested in signing Alayah Pilgrim, Liverpool fans have expressed they would like the Reds to sign the Swiss star.
Liverpool have lost a key attacking player this summer in Olivia Smith, who completed a world record ÂŁ1m move to Arsenal.
Smith will be a big loss for Liverpool, after scoring seven goals for the Reds during the 2024-25 WSL season.
The 21-year-old Canadian won the PFA Young Player of the Year award for that season on Tuesday night.
Liverpool fans responded that Pilgrim could be an “Olivia Smith replacement”.
Arsenal have been busy during the summer window, and one fan suggested that their midfielder Lia Walti could have a part to play.
They commented: “Agent Lia we have a job for you.”
Soccerdonna report that Pilgrim has a market value of 70,000 euros (ÂŁ60,000).
When does the 2025-26 WSL season begin?
The Women’s Super League season gets underway in just over two weeks.
Champions Chelsea will host Manchester City on the opening night of the season on Friday, September 5th.
Pilgrim could be in action for Roma next week, as the Italian side play Kazakhstan side FC Aktobe in the Champions League on August 27th.
However, Roma could have a fight on their hands to keep the talented Swiss forward.
