Sheffield United have announced five more new signings as preparations for the FA Women’s Championship campaign intensifies.

Defender Sophie Barker joins from Doncaster Rovers Belles, where the Blades say she has been ever present since 2015.

Forward Chloe Dixon comes from neighbours Sheffield FC but also previously played for the Belles and represented GB Women’s football at the World University Games in 2017.

Defender Danielle Cox also signs from Sheffield FC where she was a regular since the 2014/15 season. Cox has also been on the books at Blackburn Rovers and Doncaster.

Lauren Cresswell makes the move from Derby County and brings a wealth of experience to the back four, while midfielder Alethea Paul transfers from Manchester City where she made her first team debut in 2016 as a 17 year old.
