Yeovil Town’s ‘A’ Team

The Glovers secured the Somerset FA Junior Cup Final and in front of a large crowd at Street FC on Thursday May 12th, netting four first-half goals against Ilminster Town.

Colette Martin hit the post from just outside the box before opening the scoring on 23 minutes from an Olivia Watts cross.

Hattie King then latched onto a loose ball, to slot the ball past the scrambling Ilminster goalkeeper to make it 2-0 moments later.

With five minutes left of the first half, Emma Brazell found room on the right hand side and her looping cross, caught Andrews off her line, and found the back of the net to make it 3-0.

On the stroke of half time, Martin got her second and Yeovil’s fourth, volleying home from another well-placed cross.

Ilminster came closest to a goal in the second half when awarded a penalty for handball but Lucie Nurse turned the spot-kick onto the cross bar.
