Manchester City are the last to get their Spring Series campaign underway due to their Champions League involvement, starting at home to Birmingham City – who were held 0-0 by Sunderland in their opener – in Wednesday’s televised game.
Reading have had a mixed start having beaten Bristol City at Ashton Gate, before going down 4-2 to Liverpool at the weekend, despite leading 2-1 after only 7 minutes. The Royals now welcome Chelsea to Adams Park, with the Blues off to a flyer with a 6-0 defeat of Yeovil Town last Sunday.
The Glovers lost keeper Charlotte Haynes with a broken hand in that match and now they face a South West derby with Bristol City, being played at Taunton Town FC, where both teams will be pushing to get off the mark.
Arsenal failed to break down Sunderland in their first match and now entertain Liverpool at The Hive, with the Reds top of the table and having netted four times in each of their two games.
