Liverpool go into Wednesday’s matches as leaders of the WSL 1 Spring Series table but having played more games than most. They host a Sunderland side who are likewise unbeaten but their records are otherwise contrasting. While the Reds have rolled in 14 goals from 4 games, the Black Cats have scored just once in three outings but do boast a clean sheet each time.

Chelsea have netted 10 goals without reply from two fixtures and have a London derby with Arsenal, whose last game also produced plenty of goals – the amazing 4-4 draw with Liverpool. The Gunners sit a point behind the third-placed Blues, having played one game more.

The bottom four play among each other, including Birmingham City, who are looking to bounce back after their SSE FA Cup Final defeat. The Blues will be going after a first win, especially as visitors Bristol City have lost three of their four games.

Reading have a similar record to the Vixens and they go to Yeovil Town, who are still chasing their first point. The Glovers have lost all 4 games and shipped 18 goals in the process.
