Andree Jeglertz and Manchester City have been on fire this season and the Swedish boss is on track to break a WSL record as his team continues their title charge.
Jeglertz has already won two manager of the month awards this season and he’s on track for a third.
Who shares single-season WSL manager of the month record?
Emma Hayes
It is no surprise that Emma Hayes dominated the WSL manager of the month award for some years during her tenure.
The former Chelsea boss became the first ever manager to achieve three awards in the same season.
Chelsea were dominant in the 2019/20 campaign – going invincible for the second time in the club’s history.

Hayes was of course a key part of the Blues project that saw them achieve so much that season and she was recognised in October 2019, January 2020 and February 2020 when her team won nine games from nine.
The current USWNT manager is undoubtedly one of the best coaches in history, not just in the WSL, but in the world.
Marc Skinner
Manchester United boss Marc Skinner was next to pick up three awards in one season.
Skinner picked up the award in October 2022, December 2022 and April 2023. The United boss did the unthinkable in the 2022-23 season, as his side went toe to toe with three time reigning champions Chelsea.
United weren’t able to win the league that year, as they finished two points off the Blues in their best campaign ever.
Skinner’s season didn’t just earn him three awards in the WSL but it also earned him the respect of his peers.
The 2022/23 campaign was the beginning of United’s rise back to the top of England and Skinner earned himself a new contract in 2024 for all of his hard work.
Renee Slegers
Arsenal’s Renee Slegers is the final name to have achieved three manager of the month awards in one year.

Slegers achieved her feat during last year’s campaign. The Dutch boss had never won an award before the 2024/25 season but she dominated the prize as her team charged for the title.
Although Arsenal weren’t able to win the WSL, Slegers and her team were rewarded with a women’s Champions League title after a sensational year.
Slegers is yet to pick up a manager of the month award this season and she will be hoping to change that in 2026 as Arsenal look to catch up with Manchester City at the top of the table.
Andree Jeglertz on track for WSL history
Manchester City boss Andree Jeglertz is looking to add his name to the history books this year.
The Swedish boss has already picked up two manager of the month awards in his first six months in England. Jeglertz is also up for the December award which is yet to be announced.

City won both of their games to end 2025 and Jeglertz is expected to pick up the prize.
That means that the City boss could be just one award away from setting the WSL single-season record for a manager – a testament to how good his team has been this season.
Jeglertz is still a way behind Emma Hayes in the race for most WSL manager of the month awards in history.
The former Chelsea manager picked up seven awards during her career in England – more than anyone else by some distance.
